Music Marathon Extravaganza
On March 27 this Sunday, there will be a music marathon tribute for my dad’s friend Antonio Vincent, lead singer of the Sweet September who recently passed away. Organizing the event is my dad as the Head of Persatuan Karyawan, U. Antonio’s family and Bayview Hotel Georgetown.
Dad has been working really hard trying to make this a success and so far, the responses from the musicians interested in taking part are quite promising. It’ll be held at the Base Entertainment (formerly Carmen’s Inn) from 3pm right up to 3am the next morning. Among the musicians taking part are Sweet September and Friends, David Arumugam (Alleycats), The Rozzells and many more. The night looks set to be entertaining with musicians gathered at one place to celebrate and commemorate the life of a fellow musician.
A press conference to announce the event was held last Saturday and the news article was published yesterday (22/3) in The Star, Metro North. So, come on over for this event and give some support! I believe it’ll be great and it’ll be an opportunity for you to get a taste of some good local Malaysian talent. =)
It’s also a charity based event whereby the proceeds will be given to the widow and Pusat Diabetik Malaysia. So, this is the best chance for you to contribute for charity and at the same time, enjoy a night filled with good music. =)
