"Leaving on a jet plane...."
The title doesnt concern me actually but my sis... as she left for Sarawak today. And this post is for my relatives that may want to know how she's been doing so far...
So, we woke up at 6am today as her flight was scheduled to leave at 8.15am and you usually have to be there at least an hour or 45 mintues before the time of your flight. After she checked that she had packed everything she needed and read today's newspaper, we left the house at 6.40am.
We reached the airport at 7.10am/7.15am and headed upstairs towards the checked in counter where her 3 other colleagues were waiting for her. We waited until she checked in her bags before we said our goodbyes and left....
I received a message from her around 9.30am informing us that she already reached K.L. and was at the LCC terminal. Her next flight was scheduled to leave K.L. for Sarawak at 1.40pm. And then, at 3.45pm, she messaged again to let us know that she finally arrived in Bintulu, Sarawak. Her first message from Sarawak was to say there are no buildings around the airport!! She also said that she is considered a foreigner there!! Can you imagine being referred to as a foreigner in your own country??
Anyway, after being fetched by the people involved in this trip there, they went to eat and checked into the hotel around 5 something. There are lots of shops around the hotel, so it'll be easy for her to get access for any extra items that she may need.
Its good to know that so far everything has been smooth sailing for her except the fact that she said the flight was rough because of the bad weather. Lets just pray and hope that everything will be well for her in the following days to come. If there is anything new that I hear from her, I'll let you all know alrite. But we might not be able to communicate with her once she goes to the longhouses to stay as according to her there would be no signal or line.
So, till the next time, pa-alam!!
